Thursday 17th of November

Tomorrow night (17-11-11) we are doing BIGGER & BETTER. (normal times)
Bigger & Better is an activity where the Venturers walk in equal groups around to house's with one item such as a pencil, cup ect. The aim of the game is to come back to the hall at the meeting time with the biggest item. Previous collections include a tv, BBQ, hot plate ect. This is a great activity that is safe and suppervised and shows the Venturers a good sense of social skills as they need to nominate different people to explain how the game works to the house owners. Hi Guys, Emily here. It's time to get excited about Landcare. Yep, you heard me Landcare. No I'm not meaning planting trees and....planting trees I mean full on planning to help improve out community's enviroment. I am getting the 5th Scouts and 5th/2nd Venturers to help out with organising and participating with local events. Relay For Life

Its coming up fast, Relay For Life 2012. On Tuesday 9th of March is when the event if taking place and for those who done know what it is here is a quick run through.
Relay For Life is a fundraiser for the Cancer Council, Participates must have a team and for 48 hours must pace/run/walk a track like a relay, Hence the name. Last year the Scouts team (including Venturers, Rovers, Leaders and extras) Raised over $4oo, which deserves a good pat on the back. Through the days and nights there will be a over 18 adult to supervise the group and shade and tents are provided.

If you are interested in doing this keep checking for more updates as there will be a post on how to join the team later on in the year .

Another Great Term

That's right, Term 4 is here and its packed full of exciting nights including Ice blocking, Ultimate Frisbee, Amazing Race and much more. So try not to get to excited till Thursday. Keep checking for an update for Thursday.

This week is Davids first aid night, no full uniform just scarf. It will be a great night, see you there.

This Thursday is Sarah & Emily Night, we ask if everyone can bring any old or new news papers with them. Wearing clothes that are able to get dirty are advised :)

So dead legs and 4 hours later i have finaly got a starter layout for the blog, will need to improve it by adding some photos and colour, but in good time :) If you have any photos you would like up please email them to me.
